Thomas Stanley Miller
Background
Thomas Miller attended University College London, where he obtained a B.A. in Economics and Business with East European Studies, delving into modules such as International Trade and Finance in Russia and Eastern Europe, and Law for Managers. Subsequently, he pursued his legal education at Rhodes University, where he earned an LLB in 2010 and graduated with Dean’s list honors. Following his academic pursuits, he completed his pupilage and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa by the Eastern Cape Society of Advocates in Grahamstown in 2013. His commitment to the legal profession is further demonstrated by his tenure as honorary secretary of the Eastern Cape Society of Advocates, as a Bar Council member for the Eastern Cape Society of Advocates from 2021 to 2023 and a current council member of the Eastern Cape Legal Practice Council. Miller also served as a part-time lecturer in commercial law at Rhodes University from 2011 to 2012. In addition to his legal career, he has been a Trustee of Hayton House, an independent living facility for the elderly, since 2023.
