Jock McConnachie

Jock McConnachie attended both Rhodes University and UNISA where he earned BA and LLB degrees, respectively. He completed his studies while working as a judges clerk, and then joined the Grahamstown Bar in 1999 shortly after being admitted. Jock has had a long and storied career, eventually settling on specialising in Criminal Law, with particular interest as well in Environmental and Property Law. He has also worked as a part-time lecturer at Rhodes University, mainly teaching Delict, Insolvency, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure and  Customary Law. Apart from his working career, Jock was an active rugby referee for a local league, as well as being a proud and active member of the Grahamstown Historical Society.
